Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner (new 36 hour formula) : Review, Swatch and Price
I have an affinity towards eye products and personally believe that Kajal and eyeliner make every Indian girl look even more beautiful than she is. I have been using Maybelline gel eyeliner for quite a long time and have fallen in love with it. Applying eyeliner is an art, and it took me a while to master this art (maybe I am still struggling :P). The unique thing about this eyeliner is that you can easily apply it on your lower lash and look equally fabulous. Maybelline launches amazing products which I can rave about and the best thing is that most of its products are affordable.
The eyeliner claims:
1. More intense
2. Lasts up to 36 hours (that’s looong)
3. Smudge-proof and waterproof
Now let us see if the product stands true to its claim.
Packaging:
The Maybelline Gel Eyeliner is the newer version of the old product and has a new look too. The gel eyeliner comes in a cute rectangular glass pot with a black screw cap. It has a classy and sleeker look and what I loved about the product is that they provide a brush for application (isn’t that cool?) I have heard many complaints about drying, but mine hasn’t dried yet and I have been using it for a real long.
Texture & Pigmentation:
I love the texture of the gel liner, it is creamy and has a velvety touch. The gel eyeliner comes in a pitch dark black shade which brings a natural glow to the eyes. It doesn’t have a shimmer look instead there is a soft matte finish which doesn’t turn flaky. What I love about is that the pigmentation of the eyeliner is great. Just a single stroke of the eyeliner and it does its job amazingly. I even apply this dramatic eyeliner in my waterline and lower lash line and it gives a remarkable look.

Long Lasting power:
When it comes to the lasting power, I can just rave about the product. It is absolutely worth the money. The product claims to last for 36 hours, but I have worn it for maybe 10 hours and just lasts perfectly. In my waterline, it stayed for 6 hours, but that was quite impressive.

Smudgeproof and Waterproof:
As the gel eyeliner stays for long hours, I haven’t experienced any of the smudge issues. And even after washing my face, I didn’t notice my eyeliner fading away (love it totally) which saved me from racoon eyes. Which shows that the product stays true to what it claims.

My Opinion:
For girls, who don’t know how to apply Eyeliner, this product is really good.
I love Maybelline 36 hour Drama Gel Eyeliner. I would definitely recommend the eyeliner to all. I love the intense pigmentation, the long lasting effect, pocket-friendly and that it is safe for my eyes. What more? I can wear it throughout the day and not worry a bit about my eyeliner fading off. If your eyeliner dries off, then I would suggest you store them upside down, if it still dries, then heat it with your hair dryer or microwave it for 15 secs and voila enjoy your products 🙂
