It was a tribute to the renowned queens of the 21st century as Amit GT presented his collection inspired by modern day royalty. Looking at style icons like Princess Kate Middleton, Queen Rania, Sheikha Mozah and Queen Ameera, international couturier Amit GT unveiled his grand Red Carpet look at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017. Glamorous Daisy Shah concluded the show looking stunning in a tanzanite colored gown.
Talking about the collection, designer Amit GT said, “I have taken inspiration from today’s royal heirs, abroad and in India, and presenting a collection that sighs ‘your royal highness’ for anyone who adorns it.”
Ornate dresses and gowns were visions of beauty as they glided down the runway created in glamorous chiffon, translucent tulle and delicate lace. Gorgeous shades of dog wood pink, peach and aqua caressed the heavily textured gowns, while the light as air chiffon creations were what women dream of.
From pastels, the colour story moved to cognac hues and then onto darker tones of blue, grey and midnight black for after dark glamour. Embellishments are Amit GT’s forté and his expertly crafted 3D satin flowers and butterflies from the enchanted forest bloomed and flittered on the ensembles in varying hues to further add a unique touch to the creations.
As the magical gowns floated down the ramp, their intricate embellishments and workmanship was a great tribute to Amit GT’s creativity.
