Amazon Fashion Week is a perfect union of trends and come-back of the old ones. The five days show is full of glamour and the designers had given their best to impress the celebs and the peeps. As the season arrives, another season’s trends are out to make us go gaga over them. In this AIFWSS’18 has acquainted us with the trends that definitely would be loved and many of us will wait to add them to a wardrobe staple. Now you must be willing to know the SS’18 trends, so peek-a-boo below to know them-

The trench layers

Layering can never go out of the trend. This coming season, summer trench coats are going to be wardrobe essentials. Shruti Sancheti, Payal Pratap, and Pallavi Dhyanee has done their experiments with a basic trench coat and made them sway the ramp.

Floral power is back

They never go out of the summer trend, but this coming season will be ruled by big blossoms everywhere. Shruti Sancheti and Pallavi Singhee brought all styles in their shows, but keeping it subtle, Pratimaa Pandey decorated necklines and hems with pretty floral embroidery.

Monochrome World

Whether it is in trend or not, we love monochrome. To those who live in a monochrome fashion world, congratulation! This spring summer season, it is one of the strongest trends. This black and white contrast was championed by designers Rajesh Pratap Singh, Medha Khosla, and Abraham & Thakore in Amazon Fashion Week. Be it stripes, blocks, abstract prints, panels, or anything, you can go creative with this trend.

Traditional Embroidery

Not forgetting the Indian culture and craftsmanship. Embroidery like thread and zardozi were vanishing from the trend but again in AIFWSS’18, they were showcased on the ramp. The only difference was, this ethnic element varied from Indian to Western silhouettes.

Asymmetrical hemlines

This summer is dedicated to asymmetrical hemlines that mean you don’t have to rely on boring narrow and straight summer kurtas. Revamp your wardrobe with some handkerchief hemline trend by Dhruv Kapoor or Kavita Bhartia, and at the other hand Anuj Modi played with geometry and brought mullet in fashion again.

Shades of White

At the day 4 of AIFWSS’18, white was spotted on the ramp. Designers like Kavita Bhartia, Ekta Jaipuria, Madhu Jain, and Ruchira Kandhari has paired white with another white shade. If white isn’t your style then add a flirty skirt like Kavita Bhartia. Designer Madhu Jain introduced some traditional cotton kurta with mix and match with hues.

Sheer

Chiffon, mesh, chanderi, organza, and tulle all these sheer fabrics slew the runway in different kind of styles; from tops, skirts, hemlines, and dresses to traditional Indian wear at the show from Suneet Varma.

Ruffles

Catwalks are cascading with ruffles. From kurtas, saris, dresses, and tops Rina Dhaka has included it in everything.
